Impact: Audio quality degraded on VoIP calls (in and out)

Please note that we have experienced a temporary degradation of our audio quality on both our Sophia hosted telephony as well as our V5 trunk solutions.
On 26.09.2023 – 2.46 PM, we have been altered that one of our peering link was suffering from high latency. For 20 minutes, this resulted in audio degradation of both in and out audio. After analysis to understand the reason of this unexpected load, we've taken the decision to manually isolate this faulty link and transfer our traffic onto a backup link. Once this done, the latency went back to initial value (<10 ms).
A ticket has been already opened to our supplier to understand the root cause of their latency issue. For the time being, the link remains isolated.
