Please note that our technical team will perform three important maintenances in February 2022 on our core Network. The first one will take place on Saturday the 5th of February 2022 at 1.00 AM.

These maintenances haves for main objective to improve the geographical redundancy of our core network.  

During this timeframe, a maximum of one consecutive hour of downtime is foreseen, impacting both our VoIP services as well as our xDSL, FTTH and Fiber services.

As consequences, your Sewan services will be affected.

General communicate service [SEWAN] Unexpected disturbances - 13.01.2022

Impact: Call disturbances

 

Dear customer, dear partner,

 

On 13.01.22 at 3.17 PM, our voice network handled a huge and unexpected amount of outbound calls which were providing from several sources, generating several thousands of CAPS (Call Attempt Per Second).

Despite our security mechanism immediately triggered, the behavior kept going on for long, which started to impact our Voice servers at 3.22 PM.

Source of unexpected calls were immediately discovered by our engineers, and were temporarily banned. Situation went back to normal at 3.40 PM.

In order to prevent this from happening in the future, our team improved the above-mentioned mechanism by limiting the number of CAPS per IP address by 100 every 5 seconds, after what the IP address will be temporarily banned.
